This Privacy Policy describes how Funny Father ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices.
1. Information We Collect
Funny Father does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to our own servers. We do not require account registration, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores the following data on your device only:

Favorited jokes — If you purchase the Favorites unlock, jokes you save are stored in a local database on your device using SQLite. This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 3 below.

Seen joke history — A record of joke IDs you have already viewed is kept locally to avoid showing you the same joke twice. This data is never transmitted off your device.

Purchase status — Whether you have unlocked the Favorites feature is recorded locally and verified through Google Play Billing.
3. Android Backup Service
Funny Father uses Android's built-in Backup Service. This means your favorited jokes and app data may be backed up to your personal Google account as part of Android's standard device backup system. This backup is associated with your own Google account and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your backup data.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Funny Father displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID and other device information to show you relevant ads and measure ad performance. This data is collected by Google on our behalf and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Specifically, AdMob may collect:

Your device's Advertising ID (a resettable identifier used for ad targeting)

Device type, operating system version, and general device information

IP address (used to determine approximate geographic location for ad relevance)

Ad interaction data (whether an ad was viewed or tapped)
You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset Advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization.
5. In-App Purchases
Funny Father offers a one-time in-app purchase (Favorites unlock) processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment information. All payment data is handled by Google and governed by their terms of service.
6. Children's Privacy
Funny Father is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
7. Third-Party Services
The App fetches jokes from third-party APIs (icanhazdadjoke.com and JokeAPI). These requests do not include any personal information — only a standard HTTP request is made to retrieve joke content.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
All data stored by Funny Father (favorites, seen joke history, purchase status) lives on your device. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the App or clearing the App's data through your device settings (Settings → Apps → Funny Father → Clear Data).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
